Voiliers Elan, a sales network to rebuild

Sailboat Elan Serie S

For Philippe Chevallier, French importer of Elan sailboats, the dealer network needs to be rebuilt. He explains why we should take the Elan card.

A rewarding brand

Philippe Chevallier has taken over the import of Elan yachts with his company Blue Touch. He is now looking to interest resellers for the Slovenian yacht brand. According to him, it is a"rewarding" brand, because it requires real commercial work to reach a specific clientele in an elitist niche market. It generally takes 12 to 18 months between the first contact and the signing of the order form, a much longer delay than for large production sites. This difference makes the search for vendors more complex for Blue Touch.

A growing construction site

Elan has already worked on its image during the launch of its latest range, whose manufacturing quality has significantly increased.

With the takeover in 2015 by Merrill Lynch International and Wiltan Enterprises Limited, two investment funds, the company is currently benefiting from significant investments. These allow the arrival of new models soon.

Many resellers to find

Philippe Chevallier therefore seeks to strengthen the sales network for its entire geographical area. He particularly insists today on the whole Channel basin (Brittany, Normandy), as well as on French-speaking Switzerland, where everything is to be built.
