Nordkapp returns to France: "A premium alternative in rigid hulls"

Brand ID Boat becomes the importer of Frydenbo Marine and its Nordkapp and Sting brands in France. Kevin Pittet explains the choice, with ambitions for rapid development.

2nd boat brand for Brand ID Boat

Recently created by Kevin Pittet, Brand ID Boat is expanding its range of boats. It has just signed a partnership with Norwegian shipyard Frydenbo Marine for the distribution of its boats in France, with its flagship brand Nordkapp and the Sting Boats line for small entry-level units.

Brand ID Boat's founder justifies his choice: "After starting with Zar semi-rigids, I was looking for a premium alternative brand to the existing rigid hull market. Frydenbo offers a great alternative to both mainstream and premium brands. We find Scandinavian quality, with fine finishes, counter-molded trunks... After making contact in 2023, we came to an agreement. The range is diversified, with open boats, bowriders, daycruisers, coupés and sport helmsmen, which means we can envisage significant development in both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. There's good innovation, with at least one new model a year, and the ambition to increase in size and reach 11 to 12 m in length within 3 years."

Ambitions for the French market

Nordkapp has had several discontinuous appearances on the French market, and now intends to find its place there, as Ola Thorvaldsen, Frydebo Boats' export manager, explains: "We're delighted to welcome Brand ID Boat on board. Their expertise and knowledge of the French market is invaluable. We are confident that our partnership will guide the Nordkapp brand in new and exciting directions."

Kevin Pittet's ambitions: "The network is being created from scratch. The aim is to have 6 to 7 dealers quickly. The 1st boat will be presented in Arcachon, and we'll be in Cannes and La Rochelle."
