YOT Power Catamarans: strategic move into North America with Catamaran Guru

The Catana Group entrusts North American distribution of its YOT power catamarans to Catamaran Guru. With its industrial strategy, eco-responsible production and new products, this expansion marks a key step for the French shipyard.

Launched in 2020, YOT Power Catamarans is the third brand in the Catana Group, after Bali and Catana. Unlike the sailing models from which it originated, YOT was designed from the outset for motor propulsion. The JnJ Design office has developed hulls optimized for cruising speed, stability and reduced fuel consumption. This orientation responds to the growing market for motor catamarans, particularly for charter and coastal cruising.

Exclusive distribution in North America

Since August 2025, Catamaran Guru becomes the sole YOT distributor in United States and Canada . Already established in Annapolis, Kemah and Fort Lauderdale, the company has a territorial network adapted to the major North American sailing basins. This exclusivity ensures consistent commercial and technical support, backed up by a team dedicated to power multihulls.

An evolving range: from outboard to inboard

The YOT range is built around two outboard models, YOT 36 and YOT 41, presented in 2023 at Cannes. These units are designed for fast sailing and extended anchoring, thanks to their spacious layouts. The shipyard is now preparing the YOT 53, the first inboard model, designed to increase autonomy and comfort at sea. Its official unveiling is scheduled for 2026, but it will be previewed at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025.

An eco-responsible production site in Aveiro

YOT manufacturing is centralized in a 26,000 m² unit in Aveiro, Portugal. This site runs entirely on solar energy, producing one megawatt and avoiding more than twenty tons of CO? every year. The plant is equipped with a test dock for units up to 70 feet, a 6-axis numerical control system and a launching ramp for vessels up to 90 feet. Annual capacity will reach 200 units, with a planned workforce of 450.
