New technical director at Wauquiez
The Excel Yachting group has announced the arrival of a new technical director for its Wauquiez sailboat yard. He is Pierrick Cruzol. Passed by the naval architecture firm Berret Racoupeau, and after more than 10 years in the design office at Amel, which he had been responsible for since September 2016, he takes over the technical direction of the Wauquiez range, taken over less than a year ago with Tofinou and Rhea by the Excel group to Experton Revollier.
BRP appoints new marine manager
The Canadian BRP Group has announced the appointment of Karim Donnez as president of BRP Marine Group. He oversees all of the group's marine products, including Alumacraft, Manitou and Quintrex boats.
Hanse Yachts revises its organization chart
After the renewal at the end of 2021 of its president germany's Hanse Yachts Group is continuing to reorganize its organizational structure. Following the planned departure in July 2022 of Sven Göbel, a member of the executive board since 2012, the management of the sail and powerboat builder has announced the appointment of Jan Brockmöller as CFO of the Hanse Group. Aged 50, he does not come from the yachting industry, like the current president of Hanse Hanjo Runde, but from renewable energy and engineering.
A vice-president of electrics at Mercury
Mercury Marine has announced the appointment of Perissa Millender Bailey as vice president and director of eSolutions. The marine engine specialist is bringing on board a manager who is familiar with industry developments after 18 years at Ford, where she worked on the electric vehicle, among other things. She will be in charge of product development strategy and the electrification of propulsion systems.
A USA director at Samboat
As part of its development in the United States, the online boat rental platform Samboat has hired Sarah Briquet as USA manager. The young Frenchwoman, with experience in the American market, will be in charge of setting up a team.
