Yanmar acquires propeller maker Flexofold

Marine engine manufacturer Yanmar announced on December 5, 2017, the acquisition of propeller manufacturer Flexofold. The Danish company, which specializes in folding propellers for sailboats and multihulls, strengthens Yanmar's position in this niche of sailing yachts.

Kerboat expands in the Côtes d'Armor

The boat cleaning specialist Kerboat is expanding its network. A 7th agency, managed by Loïc Henry, opened in the Côtes d'Armor. The company is now present from Saint-Malo to La Rochelle and in the Mediterranean in Marseille, in the Var and in La Grande-Motte.

Sunsail - The Moorings reopens its Tortola base

The Glénans sailing school has a new general delegate to replace Laurent Martini. It is Tom Daune who has held all the positions within the association. Former trainee, then volunteer instructor, Tom Daune was until now national manager of the activities and responsible for the base of Concarneau.

New commercial for Phare Bleu Yachting

Antony Munos joins Phare Bleu Yachting, distributor of G-Force Yachts racing yachts. A former top-level regatta sailor, he has been appointed sales manager for the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region.

727 Sailbags changes hands

Nicolas Veto, a former Castorama, Decathlon and L'Occitane-en-Provence employee, and Matthieu Bimbenet, a former LVMH executive and former manager of small and medium-sized furniture and decoration companies, are taking over the management of 727 Sailbags. They replace Erwann Goullin, who has been responsible for the restructuring of the used sailcloth bag manufacturer for the past two years.

New managers at Bénéteau

Bénéteau has announced the appointment of two new directors. Denis Ricard, formerly of Yamaha and Zodiac, is taking over as export manager for the Bénéteau brand in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and English-speaking Africa. Jean-François Lair is leaving the export department to become sales director for North America. He will be based in Annapolis.
