Fountaine Pajot and Atalanta Marine are establishing a joint venture in Greece. This new organization also covers Cyprus and brings together three of the French manufacturer?s brands. It reflects an evolution in their business relationship, with boat rentals among the key priorities.
A presence as close as possible to the Greek market
Fountaine Pajot is taking another step forward in its expansion in the eastern Mediterranean. The French boatbuilder has announced the creation of Fountaine Pajot Group Greece (FPGG), a joint venture with Atalanta Marine, its long-standing partner in the Greek market.
Based in Athens, near the Alimos marina, the new company is headed by Panos Douros. It will represent three of the group's brands: Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Yachts, and Dufour.
This structure is intended to bring commercial activities closer to local customers, as well as to support foreign boat owners who operate or use their boats in Greek waters.
Chartering: A Key Issue
Greece plays a major role in the charter market for sailboats and catamarans in the Mediterranean. For a manufacturer, having a local representative is therefore not just about selling new boats. It?s also about meeting the needs of charter companies, whose boats are used intensively and require regular maintenance.
FPGG thus plans to expand the commercial, technical, and administrative support it provides to customers. A key challenge will be to facilitate communication between the construction site, operators, and owners.
The new company will also serve the Cypriot market. This expansion provides the group with a unified organizational structure for two territories in the eastern Mediterranean.
