With 24 new models for the 2026?2027 season, Groupe Beneteau is maintaining a particularly rapid pace of product renewal in Cannes. The plan calls for 66 launches over three years?50% more than in the previous cycle. This acceleration is intended to stimulate demand in a market that remains uncertain, but its initial effects are already evident in the Group?s sales.
66 launches in three years to speed up the product cycle
24 new models in a single season. This figure illustrates the scale of Groupe Beneteau?s efforts, but it takes on greater significance when viewed within the context of the manufacturer?s production plan. Between 2025 and 2027, the Group plans to launch 66 new models, compared to 44 between 2022 and 2024. The pace of model renewal will thus increase by 50% over three years.
Following 23 launches in 2025, 24 new models are scheduled for the 2026?2027 season. The manufacturer is therefore not simply seeking to concentrate its announcements around the Cannes Yachting Festival; it is structurally accelerating the renewal of its portfolio.
This strategy comes at a time when purchasing decisions are taking longer and the Group itself describes the market as uncertain.
"In an uncertain market, we choose not to wait. We continue to invest, accelerate our efforts, and take action on the levers we control." , explains Bruno Thivoyon, Chairman of the Executive Board of Groupe Beneteau.
The product is, in fact, one of those levers.
New products for 2025 already account for nearly 30% of sales
This acceleration is beginning to yield measurable results. Models launched in 2025 accounted for nearly 30% of Groupe Beneteau?s sales in the first half of 2026. During the same period, retail sales rose 14% compared with the first half of 2025.
At the same time, the Group's revenue reached 452.3 million euros in the first six months of the year, up 12%.
These results lend weight to the model refresh strategy. Above all, they demonstrate how quickly a new generation of models can contribute to a manufacturer?s product mix when launches span multiple segments simultaneously.
The situation remains mixed, however. In the second quarter, revenue growth slowed to 3.4 percent, and Groupe Beneteau reported in late July that the market environment continued to be characterized by a wait-and-see attitude among some recreational boaters and caution on the part of dealers in managing their inventories.
The acceleration of product launches is specifically designed to address this situation: refreshing the product lineup to create new reasons to buy and boost order intake.
From entry-level models to yachts, the entire product line is affected
The strategy is not to focus investments solely on the premium segment. The Beneteau Group is structuring its product renewal around several levels of market access. In Cannes, this translates into a particularly wide range of new models.
In the monohull sailing segment, the lineup includes the First 36 Spirit, Oceanis 42, Sun Odyssey 385, and First 60. The multihull segment features the Lagoon 47 and the Excess 16, while the Lagoon Eighty3 expands the Group?s lineup of large motor catamarans.
Dayboating is also undergoing a major overhaul. The Leader 6.0 CC is set to be the entry-level model, while the Flyer 30 is specifically targeting the North American market. At the same time, Jeanneau is developing the EX 34 line.
The Sea Loft 480 exemplifies another aspect of this strategy: seeking uses that go beyond the traditional scope of private yachting. Its production version is specifically designed for the charter and hospitality sectors, with potential applications including day charters, events, and nautical accommodations.
In the motor yacht segment, Beneteau is continuing to refresh its Gran Turismo and Swift Trawler lines, while Prestige is carrying out a particularly extensive program ranging from the C43 to the F6.7, complemented by updates to the M6 and M8 multihulls.
The increasing number of product launches thus enables the Group to target the entry-level segment, the mainstream market, new use cases, and the premium segment simultaneously.
The Design Center must keep pace with the accelerating pace of development
A program involving 66 launches over three years raises an industrial challenge: how to increase the number of projects without simply expanding the number of development teams. Groupe Beneteau has restructured its organization around a cross-functional Design Center that brings together expertise in product development, naval architecture, and design.
The goal is to enable teams with different areas of expertise to work on multiple brands and programs while increasing the number of projects being developed simultaneously.
This organizational structure is particularly strategic for a multi-brand group. The launches include a wide variety of boats, ranging from outboard dayboats to yachts, as well as cruising monohulls and catamarans.
The ability to pool certain capabilities while maintaining each brand's positioning thus becomes a central element of the product plan.
The challenge is no longer limited to designing a successful model. We must be able to simultaneously refresh several product lines at a sustained industrial pace.
NEO Expands Its Product Strategy to the Pre-Owned Market
One of the most interesting announcements for professionals, however, does not involve a new boat. Groupe Beneteau is also accelerating the development of NEO, its refit program for pre-owned boats.
Originally launched with Lagoon, NEO is now expanding to Beneteau and Jeanneau. The number of models included is set to increase from two to eight. The manufacturer is thus seeking to play a greater role in a market that has, until now, been largely driven by boat owners, brokers, dealers, and refit yards.
The economic implications are far from insignificant. According to Groupe Beneteau, for every new boat sold, three to five used boats change hands.
NEO enables manufacturers to position themselves in this second-life market by offering units that have been reconditioned and modernized through the Group?s network.
The system relies in particular on three specialized sites in the Mediterranean with direct access to the sea, as well as on the technical data held by the manufacturer regarding the vessels it has produced.
For the Group, this initiative serves two purposes at once: extending the lifespan of existing facilities and providing another avenue for accessing its brands.
Accessibility is therefore no longer limited to new boats
This development in the used boat market sheds light on another aspect of the strategy presented in Cannes. Accessibility can be achieved not only by launching an entry-level model, but also by reintroducing an older boat to the market after a refit.
The Beneteau Group is thus beginning to think in terms of a customer relationship that extends beyond the initial sale alone.
The manufacturer can provide services for new boats, then for after-sales services, and?with NEO?for part of the used-boat renewal cycle.
This approach expands the traditional scope of shipbuilding. Value is no longer based solely on the number of ships rolling off the production lines, but also on the services that can be provided for vessels already in service.
The NEO program also supports the Group's environmental goal, which aims to reduce Scope 3 CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to 2022.
Cannes is becoming the showcase for a broader strategy
At the Cannes Yachting Festival, Groupe Beneteau is showcasing 56 boats, including 18 new models for the 2026?2027 season and 11 world premieres. But the industrial stakes extend far beyond the docks in Cannes.
The 24 new models announced for the season are part of a three-year cycle designed to renew a significant portion of the Group?s portfolio. And the performance of the models launched in 2025 will serve as an initial indicator of this strategy?s ability to drive sales.
The Group is pursuing several strategies simultaneously: accelerating the launch of new products, expanding product lines, developing new uses, and increasing its presence in the used-car market.
This push comes at a time when the boating market remains difficult to gauge and new orders have shown signs of slowing down over the course of the year.
That is precisely what makes the strategy attractive from an industrial standpoint. Rather than waiting for a general improvement in the market, Groupe Beneteau has chosen to accelerate the pace at which it renews its product lineup.
With 66 launches scheduled over three years, Cannes 2026 marks not so much a one-time surge in new releases as a milestone in the transformation of the Group?s product cycle. The coming semesters will show whether the 2025 models? current share of sales can be replicated with the generation unveiled this year.
