Sessa Marine taken over by Intech Boating

Brazilian company Intech Boating has made official the purchase of 100% of the shares of Italian Sessa Marine International. A representative and licensed builder of Sessa Marine brand boats in Brazil since 2011, Intech Boating is finally taking control of the Italian shipyard and its Sessa Marine, Key Largo, Dorado, Tiburon, Islamorada and Ocean brands, which it is buying from Hong Kong shareholder Oblue International, one of the leading distributors of pleasure boats in China, which had taken control since 2015 after a receivership.

The management of the company will continue with the support of the existing team and the general manager Shaoting Chen, in connection with the president of Intech Boating, Jose Antonio Galizio Neto.

Pursue the development of Sessa Marine internationally

Intech Boating displays continuity in the relationships with customers, suppliers and distributors. The Brazilian shipyard, which has recently invested in new facilities in Pedra Blanca, doubling its surface area with an additional 10,000 m2 to build larger boats, has growth ambitions for Sessa Marine. Synergies with the Italian factories should increase the prestige of the Italian brand Sessa Marine, promoting and developing all the brands in the portfolio, to further grow the company by attacking new markets.
