End of the sale of Privilege Marine

The Vendée-based catamaran builder Privilège Marine officially left the German group Hanse on October 17, 2022. The process started in June 2022 sees the return as majority shareholder of Gilles Wagner, who remained at the helm during the German period, accompanied by a group of new investors. The Hanse group says it is refocusing on its range of monohulls.

Mercury Marine opens Indiana distribution center

Engine manufacturer Mercury Marine has opened its new distribution facility in Brownsburg, Indiana. The 47,600-square-foot facility is three times larger than the existing Fond du Lac headquarters. The warehouses, which serve as the global logistics hub for the Brunswick Group's motorcycle business, feature the latest in conveyor technology, packaging and package tracking.

Groix changes the pontoons in the harbor

Work to rejuvenate the Groix harbor's wet dock will begin in early November 2022. The city is launching work worth 550,000 euros to replace the 40-year-old pontoons. Following the study carried out with Atout Ports, the subsidiary of the Compagnie des Ports du Morbihan, the contract was awarded to the companies Métalu and Tetis.

MODX partners with Madintec

The project of electro-solar catamaran, with rigid wing MODX, carried by the shipyard from Lorient at the origin of the MOD 70, announced the signature of an agreement with Madintec. The company, known for its autopilot and foil control systems, will notably work on the piloting of the wings and the man-machine interface.
