Hervé Gastinel named Chevalier of the Legion of Honor

By decree of the French President, Hervé Gastinel, ex-Chairman of the Bénéteau Group and now head of Ponant Cruises, has been appointed Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur by Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.

Gildas Le Masson joins Privilège Marine

Gildas Le Masson has been appointed Managing Director of the Privilège Marine shipyard by its new shareholder, the PPF Group. The day before, he had announced his departure from the Nautitech catamaran shipyard, which he joined in 2018, after almost 10 years with electronics manufacturer Navico.

New executive at Baltic Yachts

Finnish high-end sailing yacht specialist Baltic Yachts has announced the arrival of a new Managing Director. Tom von Bonsdorff, previously with Volvo and electric vehicle manufacturer Kesko, joins the Scandinavian shipyard as it moves into a new factory in Jakobstad.

New management team for La Semaine du Golfe

The association in charge of the Semaine du Golfe gathering of old sailing ships in Morbihan, Brittany, has experienced a number of turbulences and departures. It has announced the formation of its new board of directors, with a view to the 2025 event. It is composed of : Thierry Verneuil: president; Jean-Paul Benon: relations with host ports; Loïc Fournier-Foch: maritime; Didier Greggory: treasurer; Xavier Hubert: relations with volunteers and flotilla captains, Patrick Levy: communications; Christine Morvan: relations with communes and volunteers; Ariane Regaud: environment, administration and nautical safety.

Knut Frostad takes over as President of Henri-Lloyd

The Monte Rosa Sports group, of which Knut Frostad was already a member of the management board, has decided to appoint the former Volvo Ocean Race and then Navico manager as executive chairman of the seawear brand. Alongside the Managing Director, he will focus on the financial and commercial aspects.

Anne Dunbar at the helm of IBEX

At the beginning of February 2024, the NMMA and RAI Amsterdam, co-owners of the IBEX American BtoB trade show, promoted Anne Dunbar to Executive Director, in charge of long-term developments and strategic initiatives. A new show director is currently being recruited to replace her in the day-to-day management of the show, which she has been in charge of for the past 10 years.
