Inauguration of the boat elevator in La Ciotat

La Ciotat Shipyards, the manager of the La Ciotat shipyards, and MB92, a specialist in yacht repair and maintenance and a major player in the Mediterranean port, officially launched the operation of the new boat elevator on September 29, 2022. The tool, with a capacity of 4,300 tons, lifted Bella Vita, a 60-meter superyacht, from the water. With the capacity to accommodate seven vessels simultaneously up to 115 meters in length, the Atlas platform represents a total investment of 77 million euros.

Osculati publishes its 2022 results

Italian hardware distributor Osculati has released its results for the fiscal year September 2021 to August 2022. It reports a turnover of 115 Meuros, up 13%. Compared to Covid's pre-pandemic period, the growth is +60%.

Ingéblue, An alliance for maritime innovation

11 teaching and research establishments from all over France, specialized in maritime fields, have joined forces to create the interdisciplinary institute Ingéblue. 7 grandes écoles: ENSTA Bretagne, ENSTA Paris, ENIB, Centrale Marseille, ENSM, IMT Atlantique, and the Ecole navale, as well as 3 universities (UBS, UBO, and Toulon) and the Shom, Service Hydrographique de la Marine, have signed an agreement to work together. They should be quickly joined by other entities.
