Francqueville placed in receivership

French RIB builder Francqueville, based in Roquefort la Bédoule in the Bouches du Rhône département, was placed in receivership by the Marseille Commercial Court on March 7, 2024. Launched in 2012, the company based its identity on Made in France and the integration of naval architecture, aluminum construction and floats.

Kahe opens up its capital

Kahe, the French manufacturer of modular electric motors for paddles and dinghies, is launching a crowdfunding operation on the Tudigo platform, with the aim of accelerating international growth and expanding its motor range. The operation follows two fund-raising campaigns, respectively of 2.5 MÂeuros and 1.5 MÂeuros with business angels, private funds and industrial partners.

ICOMIA - EBI partnership

The International Council Of Marine Industry Associations - ICOMIA - and the European Boating Industry - EBI - have sealed a new strategic partnership that reaffirms their respective roles in the promotion of the marine industries, with EBI dealing with European bodies and ICOMIA with IMO and global issues.

Sirena Yachts opens a new yard in Yalova

Sirena Yachts, the Turkish specialist in top-of-the-range yachts, adapts its production capacity to its growth. A new 155,000 m2 production site dedicated to Superyachts has been refurbished in Yalova, 25 minutes from the sea and from the historic site for smaller units. It will focus on the Sirena Steel 42 and increase the shipyard's workforce to almost 1,200.

Sanlorenzo completes acquisition of Simpson Marine

Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has finalized the acquisition of Hong Kong-based boat distributor Simpson Marine. It has purchased a 95% majority stake in the broker from its founder Mike Simpson.

A paint simulator from Awlgrip

Marine paint brand Awlgrip has launched an application called Awlgrip Color Visualizer? It enables boaters and applicators to test all the brand's colors in computer-generated images on their own 3D model of the boat, and choose the right paint.
