Carina Ulixis commissions its new slipway

The Carina Ulixis shipyard, which will be launched in 2021 in Port Leucate, also holds a public service delegation for the launching and removal of boats over 6.60 meters in width. It has just inaugurated, with the launching of a 65-foot catamaran, the metal structure specially designed to fit on the existing slipway and allow the handling of large units.

Deauville inaugurates its new yacht club

The city of Deauville will inaugurate its new port infrastructures on July 10. These include the new buildings of the Deauville Yacht Club (DYC), gazebos and facilities dedicated to boating on the peninsula of the Norman town.

Dometic acquires a fourth brand in solar energy

Swedish equipment manufacturer Dometic announced on July 7, 2021 the acquisition of Büttner Elektronik. The German brand in the mobile energy sector, particularly for solar, is Dometic's 4th acquisition in a few months in the sector, after Valterra Products and Zamp Solar in the US and Enerdrive in Australia.

Ports of Monaco opens a marina in Ventimiglia

The Ports of Monaco company has opened its 3rd marina. Unlike its first 2 marinas, the new site is not in the Principality. It is Cala del Forte, in Ventimiglia, Italy, close to the French border. The marina can accommodate 178 boats, up to 70 meters. It has a small shipyard and its concession lasts until 2094.

AkzoNobel strengthens its position in Colombia

Marine paint specialist AkzoNobel is expanding its presence in South America. The Dutch multinational has acquired the Orbis group, which owns the marine paint brands Pintuco, Protecto and AVF Paints.
