Hanse Group Named Best Boat Builder

Hanse Best Boat Builder

The magazine Sailing Today awarded the Hanse Group the prize for the best nautical project 2016. The fruit of a busy year for the group.

Versatile group and numerous launches

The Hanse group and its various brands Hanse, Dehler, Moody and Varianta for sailing, as well as Fjord and Sealine for motor boats had a year 2016 marked by numerous launches. The Hanse parent brand continues to increase the size of its units with the Hanse 675, while renewing intermediate sizes. For its part, Dehler, following the trend existing in other markets such as the automobile, is doing something new with an old name by relaunching a new Dehler 34, the brand's iconic model.

A choice motivated by the dynamics of the group

Sam Fortescue, editor of Sailing Today, explains the choice:"The Hanse Group had a very active year, with the launch of a new flagship in the form of the impressive new Hanse 675, the Hanse 588 and the award-winning Hanse 315. Meanwhile, the more performance-oriented Dehler brand has seen the launch of a new 42-footer, while the historic 34-footer has been relaunched and updated."

As Sam Fortescue points out, it is here the group dimension that makes Hanse strong. An approach that we see developing in the sector.

The fruit of teamwork

Jens Gerhardt, CEO of Hanse Yachts would like to thank the employees of the yard. "We won this award together! Even with the best designers, you can't build successful boats if production doesn't work. At Hanse shipyard, everyone works hand in hand to build unique boats for customers. I would therefore like to thank the whole team at the yard for their commitment and wish everyone a happy end to the 2016 sailing season
