Cosmas Grelon has been appointed Brand Director of Excess Catamarans, succeeding Thibaut de Montvalon as head of the Beneteau Group?s catamaran brand. Since August 2024, he has served as Sales Manager for Asia-Pacific for Lagoon and Excess, following several years at Construction Navale Bordeaux. Thibaut de Montvalon, who had led Excess since January 2020 after serving as Sales Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, will continue his career within the Beneteau Group as Director of the Group?s Sailing Division.
Philippe Hamon Takes Over as Chairman of Elektra Marine
Philippe Hamon has been appointed president of Elektra Marine, the joint venture owned equally by the Beneteau Group and the Fountaine Pajot Group to develop electrification solutions for the recreational boating industry. His mission will be to structure the product offering and oversee its rollout across a growing number of shipyards and models. At the same time, the two partners have confirmed JOOOL as the joint brand for their systems combining electric propulsion, energy storage, conversion, and onboard energy management.
