Dream Yacht and Navigare Combine Shipyard Expertise and Fleet Management

Dream Yacht and Navigare Yachting are taking advantage of the Cannes Yachting Festival to unveil a new management structure. Three former executives from Fountaine Pajot and Dufour are joining the group in roles related to development, sales, and technical operations. Their arrival reflects, in particular, the company?s commitment to strengthening relationships with shipyards and providing support for boats throughout their entire lifecycle.

Dream Yacht and Navigare Yachting are simultaneously hiring three experienced executives from the marine industry. Romain Motteau, Nicolas Berenger, and Romain Lucat will take charge of development, sales, and technical management, respectively. Beyond these appointments, the group is thereby strengthening its expertise at the intersection of boat builders, owners, and fleet operations.

Three simultaneous appointments to key positions

Dream Yacht and Navigare Yachting are taking advantage of the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival to strengthen their leadership team in three distinct but closely related roles. Romain Motteau is joining the group as Chief Development Officer. Nicolas Berenger is becoming Chief Sales Officer, while Romain Lucat is taking on the role of Chief Technical Officer.

The significance of these hires lies as much in the positions involved as in the career paths of the three executives. All have experience in boatbuilding and, for the most part, have recently worked at Dufour.

Dream Yacht and Navigare thus bring together expertise in boat development, product strategy, distribution, sales, and technical support.

For a charter and rental management operator, this understanding of the upstream industry is particularly important. The relationship with manufacturers begins as soon as the fleets are established and continues for several years, until the vessels are resold.

A value chain spanning from a new vessel to its operation

Dream Yacht and Navigare together operate a fleet of more than 750 monohulls and catamarans. The group offers several types of charters, ranging from bareboat charters?where the boat is rented without a professional crew?to cruises with a skipper, crew, or sold by the cabin.

In addition to this activity, the company also sells boats and offers programs for boat owners.

The model therefore requires a longer-term perspective than just the lease period. The boat must be selected, sold or financed, configured for its intended use, operated, maintained, and then, as appropriate, put back on the used boat market.

By hiring executives with experience in product development and manufacturer networks, Dream Yacht and Navigare are strengthening their capabilities across several stages of this process.

?Romain, Nicolas Berenger, and Romain Lucat bring to Dream Yacht and Navigare Yachting a particularly solid understanding of the yachting industry, its products, its networks, and its key players,? said Loïc Bonnet, founder of Dream Yacht Group.

The charter industry is drawing even closer to the boating industry

These appointments come at a time when the relationship between aircraft manufacturers and charter operators is becoming increasingly strategic.

For shipyards, commercial fleets represent not only a market opportunity but also an environment where their vessels are used particularly intensively. For operators, the choice of models directly influences operating costs, appeal to customers and owners, and the future value of the vessels.

Dream Yacht and Navigare seem intent on strengthening this connection in particular.

Romain Motteau brings management experience and relationships with manufacturers; Nicolas Berenger brings sales and product knowledge; and Romain Lucat brings expertise in development and technical support.

This connection is all the more evident given that their paths crossed at Fountaine Pajot and Dufour.

Beyond three changes in leadership, their arrival thus reflects a shift in the group?s organizational structure toward a more integrated value chain. For Dream Yacht and Navigare, the stated goal is to support the growth of sales and charter business. For the boating industry, these hires primarily illustrate the growing convergence between those who build boats and those who market, manage, and operate them over multiple seasons.
