HanseYachts: new direction for 2026

German shipyard HanseYachts AG, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of sailing yachts and motorboats, enters 2026 with a new governance structure and a clear focus on industrial growth.

The Greifswald, Germany-based group has announced a management reorganization, with the immediate arrival of Holger Passauer as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will also take charge of production and human resources. A new CEO will complete the future two-headed management team by January 2026. The previous CEO, Hanjo Runde, has stepped down.

Industrial expertise from the automotive industry

Holger Passauer brings a wealth of experience in production optimization and efficiency research from the automotive industry. His profile has convinced the HanseYachts Supervisory Board, which is seeking to strengthen the Group's long-term economic reliability without compromising technical and quality standards.

In his first statements, Holger Passauer underlines his determination to turn the shipyard into a high-performance industrial player, while maintaining the Group's historic expertise: " I will do my utmost to ensure that Greifswald's shipyard know-how has a sustainable economic future

According to Andreas Müller, Chairman of the Board of S.D.L. Süddeutsche Leasing AG (shareholder), the company is now "on the right track". A new phase of investment in the workforce is also planned, signalling a return to growth after a period of reorganization.

A stronger presence at Boot Düsseldorf 2026

HanseYachts also announces its participation in the next edition of Boot Düsseldorf, in January 2026, where the yard will be exhibiting three models of sailing yachts under the Hanse brand: the Hanse 590, Hanse 460 and Hanse 360. Other Group brands will also be present: Moody with the 41 DS, Sealine with the C390 and C335, and Fjord with the F490 Open.

An extensive, structuring brand portfolio

Today, the HanseYachts Group comprises several brands: Hanse, Dehler, Moody, Fjord, Sealine and Ryck, covering the cruising sailboat, high-end dayboat and compact motoryacht markets. The company employs around 1,000 people, divided between Germany (Greifswald) and Poland (Goleniow).
