A strategic move upmarket
The 460âeuros¯GTC represents a turning point for Saxdor. With a length of around 14âeuros¯m (â46âeuros¯ft) and a beam of 3.60âeuros¯m, this model clearly positions the brand in a higher segment: that of 45 to 50âeuros¯ft yachts. In this way, Saxdor is shifting its range from models up to 12âeuros¯m to larger, more sophisticated and highly configurable units. According to Saxdor, this model "opens up a new dimension" for the 460 range.
New production facilities and increased capacity
To support this ambition, Saxdor is setting up a new plant in Larsmo, Finland. This facility is an integral part of the manufacturerâ??s expanded production strategy: the Finnish plant will be dedicated to larger models, and will be equipped with increased R&D capabilities. The Larsmo region, with its strong heritage in high-end boatbuilding (including Baltic Yachts and Nautor's Swan), provides a qualified base of manpower and skills.
Performance and design: the promises of the 460âeuros¯GTC
In terms of design, the 460âeuros¯GTC adopts the brand's aesthetic codes âeuros taut lines, double step hull, intelligently optimized spaces âeuros but on a larger scale. The unveiled version incorporates a modular enclosed wheelhouse, extendable side glass doors and dual or triple outboard motors, depending on configuration. In terms of performance, scheduled for 2026, the proposed version reaches speeds of up to 50âeuros¯nÅuds, according to certain announcements.
Why timing is everything
Demand for models between 40 and 50âeuros¯feet continues to grow, particularly in premium and international markets. For Saxdor, this is an opportunity to capture a new customer base and strengthen its position as a fast-growing brand in Europe. According to a press release, the opening of the plant marks a major milestone in the companyâ??s history.
With this project, Saxdor Yachts is taking the next step. A new factory, an upgraded product range, a refined design, increased capacity: all the elements are aligned to make the 460âeuros¯GTC a success. It remains to be seen whether production start-up, launch and delivery will follow smoothly. For the yachting sector, this is a new offensive to follow: that of a manufacturer who refuses to stagnate.
