Marine fire extinguishers: Anaf takes over Gloria and reshapes the European market

The extinguisher market in Europe is about to change, with Anaf's takeover of its competitor Gloria. Together, the two entities represent sales of almost 100 million euros.

Industrial consolidation affects on-board safety

ANAF Fire Protection announces the acquisition of its EMEA portable extinguisher business, operating under the GLORIA brand. The operation concerns two industrial sites, in Germany and Poland.

A concentration of players can stabilize production and harmonize product ranges. But it can also reduce the number of suppliers, a point to keep an eye on for construction sites and distributors.

Production and logistics, a key challenge

With this acquisition, ANAF expands its industrial capacities in Northern and Central Europe. This strengthens the availability of equipment in these markets.

For yachting professionals, logistics are essential. A fire extinguisher must be compliant, readily available and compatible with current standards.

Industrial synergies, between standardization and specialization

GLORIA's integration into ANAF aims to create a more structured European platform. This may lead to product standardization.

For the boating industry, this has a dual effect. On the one hand, it improves the uniformity of equipment. On the other, there is a risk of less adaptation to certain specific uses, particularly in the marine environment.

Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
