4th Venice Boat Show a success

The 4th edition of the Venice Boat Show closed its doors on June 4, 2023. Over the 5-day event, more than 30,000 visitors crowded the quays of the Serenissima's Arsenale to admire the 300 boats on display. Organizers and exhibitors are delighted with the show, which is set to return in 2024, from May 29 to June 2.

Vision Marine ramps up industrialization of its engines

Canadian electric motor manufacturer Vision Marine, which supplies the Bénéteau Group with its Four Winns brand, has announced the acquisition of new industrial equipment to speed up production. This will enable the company to produce more than 10,000 battery packs, developed by the brand to power its outboards.

New crane in Camaret

The municipal port of Camaret sur Mer has acquired a new mobile crane to crane, careen and winterize boats in the Breton port.

Viasat completes acquisition of Inmarsat

The satellite communications operator Inmarsat, frequently used at sea, is finally set to change hands. The takeover by the Viasat group, which had been the subject of investigations by the competition authorities, has now been authorized and will take effect on May 31, 2023.

B&G joins forces with the Rolex Giraglia

Electronics manufacturer B&G is a technical partner of the 70th edition of the Giraglia, alongside the Yacht-Club Italiano, offering its B&G Regatta Support service for crew assistance through its dealer Elettromare Elba.

Mercury Marine supplies Under The Pole IV

Outboard engine manufacturer Mercury Marine has signed a partnership agreement with Under The Pole explorers for their 4th mission, christened Deeplife. The company will supply engines for their dinghies and RIBs in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

Azimut Benetti switches to biofuel

Italian superyacht manufacturer Azimut Benetti has signed an agreement with oil group Eni for the supply of biofuels. Eni will supply HVOlution, a fuel made from 100% vegetable oils, for sea trials and ship deliveries. The first bunkering will be for the new Magellano 60 for its voyage from Savona to Taormina in June 2023.
