Le Havre Nautic: "Offering Le Havre boaters what was missing"

At the helm of Le Havre Nautic and Le Havre Marine Plaisance, François di Gregorio explains the objectives behind the strong expansion of his activities and his new facilities in the Escaut zone, the new center of the Normandy port's yachting activity.

A new site in the Escaut area

Well-established in the Le Havre nautical landscape, the Le Havre Nautic concession moved to the new Escaut zone at the beginning of 2023. Its manager François di Gregorio reports: "We had to move from our location next to the slipway in the city center to the Scheldt area, where boating businesses are now concentrated. Our old location was perfect in terms of visibility, but had no workshop and was impracticable in summer. Now we have 2,500 m2 under cover and 2,000 m2 outside, a 6-fold increase in surface area, and we're where everyone takes their boats out of the water in Le Havre."

Expanding our offer to pleasure boaters

With this large surface area, the entrepreneur has also chosen to extend his offer to yachtsmen, and beyond. "Le Havre Nautic remains a Jeanneau, Yamaha, Suzuki, Brig and Evok dealer. And in parallel, I've opened a new dealership, Le Havre Marine Plaisance, which represents Mercury Marine, Quicksilver, Zodiac and Bombard, with a shared 550 m2 workshop for maintenance and repairs. We can now offer the people of Le Havre what they've been missing: a dealership with 2 attractive showrooms. But also a diving department, and the sale of Helly Hansen and Musto clothing."

As far as hardware is concerned, Le Havre Nautic is going to duplicate its points of sale, as François di Gregorio explains: "There will be a fittings corner on the Escaut yard for boaters careening on the quayside, and a building is being fitted out at the port exit for the main USHIP store."

Promoting the Scheldt area

The two dealerships now employ 9 people. For business growth, the entrepreneur is now counting on the dynamism of the area. "Together with the public authorities, we need to do everything we can to promote the area and develop it. There's a second Scheldt Plan underway."
