Thomas Normand joins North Sails

After four and a half years as General Manager of Mer Concept, as François Gabart's right-hand man on Ultim and IMOCA projects, but also on diversification, Thomas Normand has joined the sailmaker North Sails France. In December 2022, he took over the management of the French operations of the famous blue brand.

New communications director for the Bénéteau Group

The Bénéteau Group announced publicly before the Paris Boat Show the arrival of its new director of corporate, internal and external communications, following the departure of Mirna Cieniewicz. Barbara Bidan, who was appointed in October, spent 22 years with the Vendée-based industrial company Fleury-Michon, holding various positions before becoming communications director and CSR director.

Olivier Yhuel, operational director of SEIMI

Olivier Yhuel joined SEIMI in 2003 as a design engineer, before becoming head of the design office and deputy director. Following the creation of the Brest division of the Alliance Marine group, headed by Philippe Gérard, he took over from Gérard as SEIMI's operational director in September 2022.

Antoine Bonnet joins Navigare Yachting

Having arrived in the yachting industry in 2018 through the board sports store and boat rental company Charlie Boat, associated at the time with the Dream Boat Club, Antoine Bonnet joins Navigare Yachting, after a brief stint with electric motor manufacturer BlueNav. He took the position of sales manager of the French subsidiary of the Scandinavian boat rental company.

Flexofold appoints Director of Development

Danish propeller manufacturer Flexofold, a subsidiary of engine maker Yanmar, has announced the appointment of a new production and development manager. Having arrived in 2017 at the as a CNC expert, Søren Palle Gammelmark will now be in charge of technology development for propeller manufacturing modes.

Mustang Survival president leaves

Marine safety equipment company Mustang Survival has announced the departure of its president. Jason Leggat is stepping down as president, but will join the executive board to advise the company on its strategic choices. Vice President Juanita Killen is serving as interim president.
