Alliance Marine acquires AR Peachment

French distribution specialist Alliance Marine, which owns such heavyweights as VDM Reya, Intermer, Kent, Plastimo and SEIMI, continues its international growth. In August 2022, it announced the acquisition of the British company AR Peachment. The company, founded in 1966 by Tony Peachment and his wife Daphne, is now managed by his sons Kevin and Andrew, who remain as directors of the structure. The company specializes in marine mechanics, hydraulics and onboard electricity, and is the UK and Irish distributor of Nanni marine engines.

Continuation of the British boating strategy

This new transaction is part of Alliance Marine's international external growth strategy. The group has important subsidiaries in Italy with Forniture Nautiche Italiane, in Germany with Bukh Bremen or 12Seemeilen, but also in the United Kingdom, since the the arrival of Ocean Safety and Typhoon and more recently from Marathon Leisure . The British market remains a strategic issue for Alliance Marine.

Kevin Peachment sees an opportunity for the family-owned company. "We are looking forward to the new prospects and challenges ahead of us that come with being part of a large group. It opens a new chapter for AR Peachment to move forward, strengthen our customer base in Europe and take advantage of new opportunities."
