The Bénéteau Group's new motorboat strategies

The autumn boat shows were an opportunity for the Bénéteau Group to unveil new horizons for its powerboat ranges. Here is an overview of the new motorboat products to come, as explained by the Vendée-based manufacturer's executives.

A range of catamarans for Prestige

After the F-Line and X-Line euro ranges, which respectively meet the criteria of speed and autonomy, the luxury yacht group is preparing to launch a range of motor catamarans called "M-Line" with space as its leitmotif.

"It's a dreamy concept. The living spaces are increased. It's a new way of living on board. We are taking the technical concept of the multihull, but with new hulls, which will not be used on our other ranges of sailing catamarans. It's an extension of the Prestige DNA, from motoryachts to catamarans. The idea is to stay alive on the water, like in a 2 e home, with a more stable support and more connected to the sea" explains Erwin Bamps, general manager of the brand.

While the shipyard will unveil its concept in early 2022, the idea is to create very large catamarans, with optimized living space, access and circulation, introducing several technical concepts, such as an alternative hybrid propulsion for ecologically sensitive owners. These catamarans will be aimed at both private owners and charters.

"We will continue to reposition the brand towards the top end. The 42-footer remains a good entry point to accompany our customers to the top." adds Gianguido Girotti, director of the Bénéteau Group brands.

Disappearance of pure fishing at Bénéteau and Jeanneau

Bénéteau is changing its strategy and has put an end to the Barracuda range. The brand prefers to refocus on the Antares range, available in two versions: Fishing Line and Sport Line. At Jeanneau, the same is true since the Marlin range has given way to the Merry Fisher Sport Series. "We are reinforcing the image of Bénéteau and Antares, or Jeanneau, and we are streamlining the offer with a proposal that is more adventure than just fishing explains the group's strategic manager.

A new range of yachts for Jeanneau

Jeanneau is discontinuing the Leader range (33 and 36), which highlighted the Express Cruiser concept. The latter will be replaced by the he DB range, large dayboats with outboard propulsion The first model is the DB/43. Once again, the idea is to bring the customers of Leader or large Leader to even larger sizes, facing brands like Fjord or Pardo.

A range of catamarans for Four Winns

Catamarans are definitely on the rise within the Bénéteaueuros Group! As part of the relaunch of the Group's American brands, Four Winns will now be available on two hulls. "An attractive concept with new features and functionality and space." summarizes Gianguido Girotti.

A range of "Fast Commuter" for Wellcraft

like the French brands, Bénéteau also wanted to detach Wellcraft from the "pure fishing" image that characterizes its boats. The segment is saturated in the United States. The range will now be expanded with a "Fast Commuter" or "Adventure Cruiser" line. These will be boats with cabins, in the Nordic style of Axopar or Nimbus, capable of sailing at 40 knots in all conditions, thanks in particular to their triple outboard motors.

"With the 3 ranges Center Console Fishing, Fast Commuter and Console Centrale premium, we will be able to accompany the owners through the different brands, especially the owners of Leader who wish to evolve on something else" concludes Gianguido Girotti.
