Medyacht to distribute Saxdor boats

The MedYacht group, located in Saint-Tropez, Les Marines de Cogolin, Grimaud and Marseille, has signed a distribution agreement with Saxdor Yachts for the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region and Corsica. The powerboat brand, created by Sakari Mattila, designer of the Axopar, Paragon, Aquador and XO boatyards, has two models, 20 feet and 32 feet. It complements the Seawater and Aldhaen ranges imported by MedYacht and the Medyacht 42 and 52 specially designed by Gilles Vaton and Enrico Gobbi for the group.

Piriac-sur-Mer harbour master's office wins award

The marina of Piriac-sur-Mer has been rewarded for the restructuring and extension of its harbour office. The project, designed by The architects, received an ADC Awards 2020 in the category of Exterior and Landscape.

The Loire Atlantique region invests in the Solitaire du Figaro

At the end of the 51st edition of the Solitaire du Figaro, held in Saint-Nazaire, the Loire-Atlantique department renewed its support for the event. An agreement was signed with the organizers in which the community undertakes to host the starts and finishes of the famous one-design single-handed sailing race between 2021 and 2026. This is the first agreement of its kind, which is welcome as OC Sport struggles to find a private title partner since the withdrawal of Urgo in 2019.

New judicial investigation into the Rodriguez shipyard

Our colleagues in Le Marin have revealed the opening of a new judicial investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office into the Rodriguez shipyard in Golfe Juan. Already the subject of a legal battle since the purchase of the shipyard after the bankruptcy of the Rodriguez group in the early 2010s, the case now interests the highest authorities.
