iFlY Sail increases its production capacity

The foil catamaran iFLY 15, designed by Michael Miller, is celebrating its 2nd anniversary. After having sold 20 ships in 2018, the yard is planning a major development in 2019. It is expanding its production capacity with the aim of delivering 50 boats next year.

Tiwal expands its range of inflatable dinghies

The French inflatable sailboat manufacturer Tiwal has announced the launch of its 2nd model. The Tiwal 2, smaller than its predecessor, which sold almost 1000 units, will be unveiled at the Nautic 2018. The company strengthens its position in the beach sports market.

Nanni expands in Latin America

The marine engine manufacturer Nanni Diesel has announced the signing of a partnership in Latin America. Fibrecon Marine, based in Lima, Iquitos and Piura in Peru, will be responsible for importing Nanni engines into the country, as well as developing the brand in Ecuador, Chile, Panama and Argentina.

New version of the NMEA 0183 standard

The National Marine Electronics Association has published version 4.11 of NMEA 0183. Developments relate in particular to the management of interfaces with international positioning systems such as GPS, Glonass or Galileo.

The AFPA renews the training of sailboat preparer

Faced with an undeniable demand from the world of ocean racing, the AFPA training centre in Auray has renewed for the third consecutive year its course dedicated to the preparation of yachts. Organized in Lorient, the training lasts 14 weeks and will start on December 10th.

Future Fibres expands

Future Fibres, the sister company of mast manufacturer Southern Spars, specialising in standing rigging and reefing cables, is setting up a new factory in Europe. A 5,600 m² building will be inaugurated in Valencia, Spain, and will allow the production of cables of more than 100 m for yachting and terrestrial applications.
