Brunswick limits third-quarter decline

The Brunswick Group has published lower results for the 3rd quarter of 2023. The U.S. leader in pleasure boating has announced consolidated net sales of $1.593 billion, compared with $1.698 billion in 2022, and explains this by the return of normal dealer inventory levels and a quieter market, partly offset by price increases and a gain in market share, which it insists on to justify a solid quarter.

Brunswick opens an online financing subsidiary

The Brunswick Group has announced the creation of Brunswick Finance, an online financing solution currently available on the European market. It enables customers to carry out the entire financing process, from requesting approval to signing the loan contract, on the platform itself, which is linked to dealers' financing offers.

Vuitton returns to the America's Cup

French luxury luggage manufacturer Louis Vuitton, a historic partner of the America's Cup that withdrew a few editions ago, is returning to the 37th edition, scheduled to take place in Barcelona in 2024. The brand will once again lend its name to the challenger selection event, the Louis Vuitton Cup.

Shakespeare Marine appoints distributor for Europe

Shakespeare Marine, the British manufacturer of communication antennas for pleasure and professional boats, has appointed a representative for continental Europe. Global Marine Associates is responsible for sales in Europe outside the UK.

Bonnier sells off its yachting magazines

American publisher Bonnier has announced the sale of its yachting-related magazine titles. It is selling its Yachting, Boating, Sailing World, Cruising World and Salt Water Sportsman titles to Craig Fuller's Flying Media Group. Bonnier retains its Marlin sports fishing title.
