The jury of the DAME Awards gave its verdict on the occasion of the opening of METS Trade 2021. Volvo Penta wins the main award. The category awards, plus 15 special mentions, recognize a range of innovative equipment for boats and boaters.

Volvo Penta wins the DAME Award 2021

Following tradition, the names of the various winners of the DAME Award 2021 innovation competition were announced on November 16, at the opening of the METS Trade show. For the 30th anniversary of the competition, the jury chose to distinguish the assisted docking system of the engine manufacturer Volvo Penta The Volvo Penta Assisted Docking System is one of a selection of 53 pieces of equipment dedicated to the marine industry. Volvo Penta's Assisted Docking System allows the boater to easily maneuver in and out of the harbor via a joystick and a position-keeping device that takes into account wind and current.

In addition to the overall winner, there are winners in each equipment category. In 2021, the jury did not find a product to award in the marina equipment and boat building categories, nor in the clothing category. The winners are:
