Marée Haute buys the Concar'Nautic shipyard

On November 2, 2021, the Marée Haute group signed the purchase of the Concar'Nautic shipyard. It takes control of the shipyard, located in the port area of Concarneau, which specializes in wintering, selling and renting boats, mainly motor boats. The 5 employees of the company, including its manager, Pierre Nerzic, joined the Marée Haute group.

Expand the motorboat offer of Marée Haute

This is the second dealer buyout for the Marée Haute group, following the acquisition of Belon Marine Loisirs in April 2020. "There were 2 main interests for Marée Haute. The first is to bring in complementary brands in motorboating. Concar'Nautic is the importer of Ribcraft, the dealer of BMA in rigid hulls and BWA, 3D Tender and Brig in semi-rigid. This enlarges our distribution panel. In addition, it gives us access to the port. We will call the site the "station", to do mechanical work on pleasure boats and small fishing boats. For the winter, we will continue to work on motor boats and we will bring the sailing back to Trégunc (editor's note: the main shipyard of Minaouet where the Django de Marée Haute boats are built)" explains Serge Calvez, director of the group.

A growth dynamic

With the takeover of the 5 employees, the Marée Haute group now employs 42 people. Its expected turnover in 2021 is 4.5 Meuros, in which the construction of new boats, Django sailboats, only account for 1.8 Meuros. In 2022, Serge Calvez has set a target of approximately 6 Meuros. To ensure the future, the renewal of the teams is also necessary. "Pierre (Editor's note: Nerzic, the head of Concar'Nautic) was our customer, because we supplied him with Suzuki engines through Belon Marine Loisirs. He is about forty years old and in the long term, it's good to recruit young people" underlines Serge Calvez.

If no precise project is announced, the Tide group intends to continue its coverage of the southern Finisterian coastline. "We want to continue the momentum. We can naturally say that our zone goes from Laïta to Concarneau" concludes the boss of Marée Haute.
