Acquisition of know-how for online nautical services

On 31 October 2018, the Bénéteau Group, through its subsidiary Band of Boats, acquired Digital Nautic, a Nantes-based start-up specialising in digital services for the yachting industry. The company was created in Nantes in 2014. Digital Nautic's objective was to work on the digital transition with professionals in the sector, by developing online tools to improve service to boaters. With this operation, Band of Boats acquires specific know-how in reservation systems, contract automation, customer feedback, supplementary insurance sales or payment security.

Expansion of boat rental and reinforcement of teams

Band of Boats is accelerating its development in Europe. Thanks to the acquisition of Digital Nautic, the Bénéteau Group's digital platform will expand its boat rental offer. Boater-users will now be able to rent motorboats and sailboats by the day, the offer being limited to weekly sailboat rentals to date. The company's organizational chart is enriched by the arrival of the 2 co-founders of Digital Nautic as marketing and IT development director of Band of Boats.
"The acquisition of Digital Nautic will accelerate the development of Band of Boats, whose objective is to become a complete platform for multi-brand nautical services in Europe," said Hervé Gastinel, President of the Beneteau Group.
