RM and Fora Marine sailboats change hands

Sailboat RM 970

Martin Lepoutre has sold Fora Marine, builder of RM sailboats. A new step for a fast-growing shipyard.

New page for RM

SAS Aime Mer has officially purchased the RM yachts from the holding company Groupe Fora. The new structure is managed by Stéphane Sénacq, a business lawyer from Aquitaine. Although he does not currently have any references in the nautical industry, the entrepreneur has already managed and participated in the creation of various structures and has a background in international companies, such as Microsoft.

While the company moved into new premises, doubling its production area at the beginning of 2017, and the RM 970 received a Boat of the Year award in Düsseldorf, the new management will be able to build on a solid foundation for this new page in the shipyard's history. Fora Marine posted a turnover of 8 Meuros in 2016.

15 years in the Fora Group

The holding company Groupe Fora, headed by Martin Lepoutre, took over the shipyard in 2002. It succeeded in transforming the image of RM yachts from a blue water cruiser to a more mainstream yacht. This commercial strategy has paid off, with the success that the shipyard has experienced in recent years.
