MED Group enters the luxury yachting market with a range of aluminum chase boats
Cervia-based MED Group is diversifying its business with the launch of Tykun, a new brand of top-of-the-range tender boats. The collection comprises three models of 8.5 meters, 10.5 meters and 12.5 meters. The range has been designed in partnership with architect Tommaso Spadolini, with an approach combining naval performance from the military world and design specific to the superyacht segment.

Aluminum construction: modularity and sturdiness
Unlike polyester boats, Tykun chase boats are based on an aluminum structure. This technical choice eliminates the need for industrial molds, allows adjustments to be made throughout the boat's life cycle, and offers greater freedom for customization. This made-to-measure construction means that the layout can be adapted to suit the owner's needs.
The shipyard emphasizes its ability to deliver unique units in terms of finishes, fittings, colors and upholstery. This positioning is aimed at yacht owners looking for a fast, personalized tender that meets the standards of top-of-the-range yachting.
Performance inspired by defense

Tykun units are designed to exceed 55 knots while maintaining optimum stability in a wide range of sea conditions. This ability to navigate fast and reliably is based on the know-how of the MED DEFENSE division, which has been supplying professional rigid boats to security agencies for many years, some of them NATO-certified.
This technical foundation gives Tykun chase boats a structural robustness and safety guarantees rarely found on luxury tenders. Based on its military standards, MED Group offers a range that combines strength with refinement.

A strategy of gradually moving upmarket
The first 10.5-meter unit will be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2025. The 12.5-meter version, already ordered, is scheduled for delivery in 2026. These launches mark a milestone in the Group's move upmarket.
MED Group, parent company of the Arimar, Solemar, Nano and Svama brands, has been in business since 1989, and currently employs sixty people at its Cervia site. A relocation to a larger site is planned for 2026, with a recruitment plan to support the development of the new luxury branch.
