For its 41st edition, the Mille Sabords trade show is breaking new ground by launching an area devoted entirely to the seafaring professions. The aim: to meet the growing need for workers in the nautical industry.

From October 30 to November 2, 2025, the Port du Crouesty in Arzon will host one of the major events in the French boating world: the Mille Sabords boat show. Known for its traditional nautical flea market and its large second-hand boat market, the Breton show is continuing its modernization by integrating a new pole this year: a "Village des métiers de l'emploi et de la formation nautique".

A direct response to the skills shortage

The creation of this space is in response to a widely shared observation in the industry: the growing difficulty of recruiting in the nautical professions. Shipyards, marinas, technical departments and professional sailors are all struggling to fill their positions. This village will showcase the industry's needs, as well as its career prospects.

Organized with the support of the Compagnie des Ports du Morbihan and France Travail, the employment village is aimed at a wide audience: young people seeking career guidance, people undergoing professional retraining, job seekers and the simply curious. Maritime high schools, specialized training centers and companies in the sector will be on hand to present their courses and job opportunities, at a time when the energy and digital transition is reshuffling the recruitment deck.

A platform to anticipate tomorrow's professions

In addition to immediate recruitment, the organizers also want to raise public awareness of structural changes in the nautical sector. New materials, sustainable development, automation, stricter regulations: these are all trends that are transforming the skills in demand. The village will feature demonstrations, trade conferences and meetings with professionals, to give visitors a better idea of future opportunities.

The port of Crouesty as the new heart of the show

For this 41st edition, the Mille Sabords also boasts a renewed port environment. After three years of renovation work, the port of Crouesty unveils a completely redesigned central square, more accessible and functional. This new setting is the show's nerve center, bringing together exhibitors, events and, from now on, this employment-training centre.

With over 65,000 visitors expected and 350 exhibitors on 10,000 m² of land-based exhibition space, the show confirms its role as a driving force for second-hand yachting, while reinforcing its social and regional dimension.
