Founded in 2015, the company specializing in textile solutions and composite deck fittings is looking for a new leader to support its development, particularly in industry, while retaining its sailing and offshore DNA.
An internally prepared transition
Yves Laurant, founder and chairman of Nodus Factory, has announced his intention to step down as CEO at the end of September 2026. But he insists on one point: this is not a classic sale or liquidation. The structure will continue to be supported by its historical shareholders and by a team already committed to the company.
Contacted by telephone, he explains: " This is by no means a classic sale or liquidation. It's about continuity. "To secure this transition and perpetuate the skills developed over the last ten years, the company is preparing to set up a shareholding plan reserved for its key employees.
The company is now opening up sourcing for a profile of " President and External Mentor "capable of piloting the next step. The profile sought is above all managerial and strategic: export culture, sales development and the ability to work with major industrial groups are among the priorities.
From pontoon to industry
While Nodus Factory remains well identified in the world of yachting and ocean racing, the company has gradually shifted a significant part of its activity towards industry and technical applications. Today, the company develops textile and composite solutions for several sectors: boating, offshore, aeronautics, infrastructure and aquaculture. Customers include Naval Group, Airbus, RTE and Enedis.
This development now imposes heavier industrial constraints, particularly in terms of certification, standardization and quality control. Nevertheless, the company retains a strong link with sailing. Its nautical catalog remains vast: textile shackles, snap hooks, loops, friction rings, boom accessories and deck equipment for pleasure and racing yachts. This activity remains an important technical showcase. Indeed, Yves Laurant believes that this maritime culture remains indispensable to the company's future development, with sailing acting as a life-size laboratory capable of producing solutions subsequently adapted to industrial needs.
Rapid growth to be structured
Nodus Factory recorded 48% growth in 2025. A major step forward for the company, which now boasts a presence in dozens of countries. The company also boasts a portfolio of patents and a multi-sector development strategy that now extends far beyond leisure boating. Its activities now extend to outdoor, paragliding, off-road, urban and industrial equipment.
In this context, the future manager will need to understand the constraints of an agile structure as well as those of an industrial client. This change of scale also marks an evolution in the governance of many technical SMEs. Yves Laurant intends to actively accompany this transition, and to remain present during the handover phase as a mentor, in order to gradually hand over this industrial tool while preserving the original spirit of the brand.
