A technological alliance between two zero-emission specialists

Founded in 2018, Australian company Sunpower Yachts specializes in the design of solar-powered catamarans with optimized energy management systems. It operates in particular in the luxury cruising segments with low environmental impact.
For its part, Alva Yachts, based in Germany, has distinguished itself by developing electric yachts with hydrodynamic lines, incorporating advanced battery and hull technologies adapted to solar-electric hybridization. To date, 11 units have been sold.
Towards a new generation of solar-powered catamarans and megayachts

The integration of Alva Yachts will enable Sunpower to enhance its range of vessels, targeting longer-range units with a wider choice of solar, electric and hydrogen-powered engines. The brand is already announcing the development of new models of cruising catamarans and megayachts powered without fossil fuels, with a focus on comfort and luxury.
The two companies plan to pool their expertise in hydrodynamic design, energy storage and intelligent onboard management. High-efficiency solar components and hydroelectric generation devices will complete the offering.
Global deployment: Europe, America, Asia

Sunpower confirms its strategy of reinforced expansion in several key areas, including Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. The acquisition of a European builder such as Alva Yachts should facilitate access to the continental market, while consolidating the production and assembly chain.
Grant Hudson, Director of Sunpower Yachts International, emphasizes: "This acquisition marks a turning point for the sustainable yachting industry. By integrating Alva's engineering, we are redefining the standards for clean cruising."
