Ecocean raises 1.2 MÂeuros

Ecocean, the company behind biohuts, a solution that promotes the development of marine biodiversity and fauna, particularly in marinas, announces the raising of 1.2 million euros. The funds, raised from the Banque des Territoires on behalf of the French government through the Territoires d'innovation de France 2030 program, and from Sud Mer Invest, will be used to accelerate the company's development in France and abroad.

Liquidation of Ryds Boats

Swedish pleasure boat brand Ryds Boats has gone into liquidation. The company, founded in 1946, was considered a local heritage, having started out with small boats, and now offered mid-sized motor units.

Postponement of speed limits in the United States

The proposed law limiting speed off the east coast of the USA to limit the risk of collisions with whales, sponsored by the federal agency NOAA, has been postponed until 2024, while the US boating industry was up in arms.

Navico joins forces with Integrel

Navico's e-fathom brand has signed an agreement with UK-based Integrel to offer a combined package, integrating Integrel's generator system with Navico's Mastervolt batteries and energy management system.

Evoy presents two new Inboard electric motors

Norwegian electric motor manufacturer Evoy is expanding its outboard-oriented product range with two new Inboard models. Named Storm and Breeze, they develop 300 and 120 hp respectively, and are aimed at pleasure and work boats from 25 to 45 feet.
