1st desalination plant at the port of St-Cyprien

G&G Boatwash, distributor of solar desalination units, announces the commissioning of a small seawater desalination unit in the Saint-Cyprien marina. It already supplies a pontoon dedicated to freshwater boat cleaning, without recourse to the municipal water network. With a daily freshwater production capacity of around 5m³, the unit can clean between 60 and 80 boats a day.

Nautique Services joins forces with West Yacht Broker

After four years in the Minimes technical zone, Nautique Services, a company specializing in the sale of new and pre-owned boats in La Rochelle, is stepping up its expansion. Its sales department is moving into the premises of its colleague, West Yacht Broker, in the Les Minimes area, while the workshop is relocating a few kilometers away to a larger space suitable for the assembly of new boats and general maintenance.

NMMA headquarters relocation

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is moving its headquarters from Chicago to Washington DC. The move to the nation's capital will enable the association to step up its lobbying efforts with the government.

Mc Conaghy to build Infiniti 52s

An agreement has been signed for the Mac Conaghy shipyard to build the new generation of Infiniti 52 racing yachts, top-of-the-range units equipped with DSS foils, the first model of which suffered a few problems.

Yuniboat wins an AMI in Les Sables d'Olonne

The Yuniboat boat conversion yard is one of the 3 winners of the Call for Expressions of Interest launched by the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique and Les Sables d'Olonne Développement on maritime innovation. Although no budget has been allocated, support will be offered to the winners.

Sealence opens a battery factory

Italian start-up Sealence, which develops pod propulsion systems for fast boats, has announced the construction of a battery factory in Sardinia. This will produce the 83 kWh SafeLi batteries that the company has begun testing in Parma. The plant is expected to employ 50 people by 2025.
