Oyster Yachts increases its sailboat production capacity

The British sailboat manufacturer Oyster Yachts is expanding its production facilities. A new 2500 m² building on the Hythe Marine Park in Southmapton will be dedicated to the Oyster 495 sailboat. The expansion represents a 70% growth that will be accompanied by the hiring of 70 people, a very positive development as the shipyard was in bankruptcy in 2018.

Hempel gets a new headquarters

The international paint and coatings manufacturer Hempel, which is very active in the marine sector, has opened a new headquarters. The Hempel Campus, which houses 2400 m² of offices and a state-of-the-art R&D center, is located in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark.

10 Meuros for Saint-Tropez

The marina of Saint-Tropez has announced an investment budget of 10 Meuros over 3 years, notably for the electrical networks and the management of grey and black water, as well as for the masonry of the quays.

Lloyd's gets involved in the SEA Index

Announced in October 2020 during the Monaco Capital of Yachting Experience event, the SEA Index, a tool for measuring the environmental impact of superyachts, has received new support. The classification society Lloyd's Register will provide technical support to the Superyacht Eco Association.

Buyout in port equipment

UK-based manufacturer of electric bollards for marina pontoons Rolec Services has changed ownership. The company has been acquired by Sdiptech, a Swedish group specializing in technologies for infrastructure services, including vehicle charging systems.
