International Multihull Show 2026: attendance down slightly, international presence up

The International Multihull Show was held from April 22 to 26, 2026 at La Grande Motte. The event brought together 82 multihulls afloat, with a strong international presence. This year's event confirms the evolution of the market and yachting habits.

The 2026 edition of the International Multihull Show provides a concrete overview of developments in the multihull sector, both in terms of supply and uses. With its diverse range of builders, new sites and evolving engines, the La Grande Motte show remains a key observation point for yachtsmen and professionals alike.

A growing exposed fleet and a more international offering

The show featured 82 multihulls, confirming an increase in the number of units exhibited. The fleet covers a broad spectrum, from cruising catamarans to performance trimarans and powercats.

The new products illustrate the company's marked international outlook. Shipyards based in Thailand, China, Tunisia, Australia, South Africa, Vietnam and Portugal were present alongside European manufacturers.

This diversity reflects the fact that production is now spread across the globe, with units designed for different navigation basins and uses.

Stable attendance driven by international visitors

Overall visitor numbers are down by 5% compared to 2025, a very reasonable reduction given the economic context. At the same time, the proportion of international visitors is rising sharply.

The show welcomed visitors from 27 European countries, as well as from America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australia.

This development confirms the show's appeal beyond the French market. The organizers are also announcing the introduction of a guest country for future editions, in order to structure this opening.

Revamped organization for a smoother visit

The visitor pathway has been redesigned with the opening of a third pool. This extension distributes the flow of visitors and improves access to the units on display.

The main entrance, repositioned close to the city center, facilitates access to the show. A free electric shuttle service has been set up to link the various zones.

These changes are designed to make the visit easier to understand, especially for boaters wishing to compare several units in similar conditions.

More room for powercats and hybrid solutions

The 2026 edition confirms the growing presence of power catamarans. Powercats now occupy a visible part of the exhibition, alongside sailboats.

At the same time, several units are integrating hybrid or electric solutions. These configurations concern both propulsion and on-board energy production.

The area dedicated to design and innovation brought together naval architects, equipment manufacturers and young structures. This area showcases the latest technical developments in the sector.

The next edition is scheduled for April 2027, again at La Grande Motte.
