American group Brunswick announces a change in the governance of one of its iconic brands. Brad Zoelle has been appointed President of Boston Whaler. He succeeds Lenn Scholz, who is leaving the company after several years in various management positions within the group.
A manager from the Brunswick Group
Brad Zoelle brings a wealth of experience to Brunswick. Prior to this appointment, he was Mercury Marine's Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region.
In this role, he supported the brand's expansion into several international markets. In particular, he focused on developing the propulsion and marine equipment segments.
Previously, he had also held key positions at Sea Ray, another brand in the Brunswick portfolio. There, he participated in the repositioning of the brand and the launch of new models.
These projects include the Sea Ray SLX R 400th, presented at the Consumer Electronics Show 2020, as well as the introduction of the Fathom energy system and the launch of the Sundancer 370.
An equally committed career in the nautical sector
Brad Zoelle is also involved in industry professional organizations. He sits on the board of the Outboard Engine Distributors Association in Australia.
He has chaired the committee for the past two years, contributing to discussions on market standards and representing outboard motor manufacturers.
This gives him a global vision of the nautical sector, both in terms of industrial aspects and market dynamics.
Boston Whaler enters a new phase
In his new role, Brad Zoelle will be responsible for driving Boston Whaler's strategy. His role will include product innovation, industrial organization and commercial execution of the brand.
Boston Whaler is one of the Brunswick Group's leading powerboat brands. The American brand is backed by a strong reputation for reliability and a particularly loyal customer base.
Brad Zoelle emphasizes the importance of this heritage.
"It's an honor for me to lead a brand with such a strong heritage and loyal customer base. For more than half a century, Boston Whaler has been a benchmark in our industry thanks to its constant innovation and focus on boaters."
Jerry Newton appointed Vice President Operations
Brunswick also announces the appointment of Jerry Newton as Vice President of Operations for Boston Whaler.
This executive has over twenty-five years' experience in industrial and operational management. He headed the Venture Boat group at Brunswick, and held a number of management positions at John Deere for fifteen years.
