Mercury Marine: Avators coming soon

After numerous trade shows and press presentations, Mercury Marine's first electric motors are about to hit the market. The Brunswick Group engine manufacturer has announced that it has shipped the first Avator 7.5 e.outboards to its distributors and customers. They should soon be available worldwide.

1st Ayro sails for pleasure boats

The first Ayro rigid sails, initially designed by VPLP for use on commercial vessels, are now to be fitted on a yacht. This is a 90-foot catamaran, the Ocean Eco 90 H2 from Alva Yachts. This multihull will run solely on hydrogen and batteries, powered by solar panels and 2 rigid sails.

Tara Polar Station to be built in Normandy

The Tara Foundation has awarded the construction contract for the Tara Polar Station. This new drifting station, designed by Olivier Petit, and intended to accommodate 12 to 20 people to study the Arctic environment, will be built by the CMN yard in Cherbourg. Delivery is scheduled for autumn 2024.

Le Boat opens a base in Canada

River rental specialist Le Boat opens a new base in Canada on May 19, 2023. It will be offering its unlicensed boats from Ottawa on the Rideau Canal. The new base will offer 5 itineraries to discover Ontario's tourist attractions.
