JEC World: Anniversary and Marine Year for the Composites Exhibition

JEC World will celebrate its 60th anniversary from April 25 to 27, 2023. This is an opportunity for the world composites event to highlight its history, but also the transitions underway in the sector and young companies. The nautical sector should be more present at this edition.

60 years of the JEC

JEC World has become a key institution in the composites industry. The association behind it celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2023, and will take advantage of the composites show to look back at its history and that of composite materials during the period. An exhibition at the entrance to Hall 6 will review the major developments in the sector.

Villages on the main trends of the composite

In addition to the 1134 exhibitors' booths from more than 100 countries, JEC World visitors will be able to take advantage of the traditional exhibition areas to discover composite parts using the latest technologies in various applications. The Industry Planet and Mobility Planet, organized around uses, will complement villages such as the one dedicated to natural fibers, 3D printing, training, start-ups, but also SMEs.

A program of conferences on various technical and organizational topics in the sector, such as waste in the infusion process or the place of women in the composite industry, will take place over the three days. You will have the opportunity to listen to Roland Jourdain talk about his catamaran made of flax fibers, or to hear managers from the Bénéteau group, Chomarat and Arkema share their experience with boats made of flax and thermoplastic resin.

Boats in the halls

Boating will be more represented overall than it has been in some editions. Boats and equipment will be on display at the Industry Planet, including a recyclable linen boat from Saertex, the Flax27 from Greenboats in GreenPoxy resin from Sicomin, linen parts from Bénéteau and a foil dinghy in Elium resin presented by BComp.
