Special Edition / Dies and deck inserts : Kits to equip your boat

Change a die, add inserts on the deck of your boat... Theix Inox Diffusion has developed turnkey solutions for hardware stores and small shipyards.

Turnkey solutions for your boat

Specialist in small equipment and stainless steel hardware for boats, Theix Inox Diffusion or TID, also works in other sectors. The success of its various ready-to-use kits for "land-based" do-it-yourselfers has encouraged the supplier to imagine ready-to-use packs for pleasure boating. Philippe Renault, explains: "The goal is to be independent for assembly and to be able to work on the boat without special tools, knowing that we have everything. This is aimed at small yards as well as the yachtsman via our shipchandler customers."

Dies to be installed without tools

It is sometimes necessary to change the dies of a boat, whether they have simply aged or an incident has damaged them. Between taking measurements and custom requests, the work can be tedious. TID has therefore decided to create a series of hand crimping die kits. Each kit has 2 dies in 4 mm diameter, with a white sheath in 6 mm. A turnbuckle is positioned at one end, while a manual crimp is provided at the other. 3 lengths corresponding to boats of 6, 8 and 12 meters are available. 1 meter long door lines, with pelican hook or wichard model, are also available.

Ready-to-implant inserts

Similarly, deck inserts are becoming more and more common on boats, used to attach various fittings. To avoid the headache of making a hole in the deck, TID has provided complete kits including, in addition to the 4 inserts, in M6, M8 or M10 diameter, two drills, one for wood or soft polyester and the other for carbon, harder polyester or aluminum, but also a milling cutter for a good finish of the drilling.
