Bigship opens 2 stores in Reunion Island

The network of Bigship hardware stores has announced the opening of two stores on the island of Reunion. This is the first establishment for the brand in this ultra-marine territory. The two stores, managed by Jonathan Faivre, have existed since 2016. They are located in Saint-Pierre and Saint-Gilles les Bains.

Meyer Werft goes into the megayacht business

Ilago sets up in La Rochelle

The Ilago communications agency, well established in the boating and yachting sector, opened a branch in La Rochelle on October 4, 2021. Historically based in Dinan, Brittany, the company founded by Philippe Fourrier in 2011, intends to "confirm its long-standing presence in the Charente-Maritime region and the entire Atlantic coast". The new branch is managed by Clothilde Duretz and Amandine Vert.

The American engine manufacturer will develop an electric propulsion system, while its sister company within the Brunswick Group will supply Simrad and C-Map electronics on these future one-design racing boats .

Bénéteau : 2021 outlook maintained

In the first half of 2021, the Bénéteau Group's consolidated sales totaled ?658.7 million, up +3.4% compared with the pro-forma first half of 2020 (+5.1% at constant exchange rates). Sales in the Boat division were up 4.4% (+6.6% at constant exchange rates), despite the decline in fleet sales to professional rental companies (-52.1%). The Bénéteau Group confirms that it expects sales to grow by more than 7% on a reported basis in fiscal 2021 (more than 6% for the Boat Division and 15% for the Housing Division).

Mustang Survival acquires Ocean Rodeo Dry Wear

Mustang Survival, a specialist in marine rescue clothing and equipment, has announced the acquisition of the Ocean Rodeo Dry Wear brand. The brand of Wing Group, expands its catalog of waterproof clothing and dry suits for boating and water sports.
