ICOMIA publishes its climate policy

The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) is launching an appeal to the boating and yachting industry to act in favor of the fight against climate change. Through a document reminding the consequences of ecological risks for the sector, both for the practice of navigation and for the infrastructures, it calls the professionals to act around 7 pillars: going from the decarbonization of boating to the reflexion on the evolutionary infrastructures through the strategic reflexions on the resilience of the sector.

Navicom becomes Ecoflow distributor

French marine equipment distributor Navicom has added the Ecoflow brand to its product catalog. The American company offers portable power plants. Rechargeable on land on the mains or with a solar panel, these mobile batteries are perfectly adapted to the uses of small and medium size boats.

Partnership for lithium marine batteries

During the Venice Boat Show, Fincantieri SI, a subsidiary of the Fincantieri Group, and Faist Electronics announced the creation of a joint venture, called Power4Future, to develop lithium batteries. The shipyard, which is active in cruise ships and luxury yachts, and its partner are to design, manufacture and service energy storage solutions. The industrial plan includes the construction of a battery production and assembly plant.
