Avenir Littoral, a new step in the Littoral 21 plan

The State and the Occitania Region have been working together for several years to support innovation in the blue economy. The Plan Littoral 21, signed in March 2017, continues into 2021. On this occasion, the institutions have released the details of the third edition of the call for projects Avenir littoral, aimed at supporting the development of original solutions by and for coastal actors. It is part of the logic of the Nautical Recovery Plan voted by the Occitania Region . The operation has a budget of 2 Meuros and relies on the technical part of the Pôle Mer Méditerranée.

Improving the environmental impact of boating

The call for projects is aimed at French or European companies established in Occitania or wishing to set up there. 3 themes are particularly considered in the 2021 edition of Avenir Littoral :

  • Recovery and recycling of waste at sea or from maritime activities: solutions for the recovery of materials and solutions for their recycling in a circular economy approach.
  • Quantitative and qualitative water management in relation to nautical and recreational activities in ports and in nautical design and maintenance.
  • Resilient coastal tourism: solutions for self-sustaining, zero-impact tourism infrastructure, facilities and services at the seaside.

Individual or consortium applications, lasting 18 months, must be submitted before April 19, 2021. Details are available on the Pôle Mer Méditerranée website.
