Advenir: Funding for electric boat charging

Avere France is launching a call for projects to finance charging stations for electric boats. Details on the modalities and timetable of this opportunity for the implementation of infrastructures.

Financing charging stations for electric boats

Avere France, the public organization in charge of supporting the development of electric mobility, is in charge of the Advenir program. Through various schemes, it provides financial support for the installation of charging equipment for electric vehicles. For the first time, Avere France is setting up a scheme for electric boats.

As part of its call for projects, Avere France is funding two types of charging stations:

  • Public terminals accessible to any boat with an electric motor
  • Private terminals, owned by a company and dedicated to its own fleet of boats.

Thus, marina managers and boat rental companies can apply.

Specific conditions

Under no circumstances are conventional electric terminals dedicated to recharging on-board batteries eligible, as the plan is aimed at boats using electric power for their propulsion.

The dock or the pontoon must be reserved for electric boats.

The installations must obviously meet the various regulatory criteria

A global envelope to be distributed

The call for projects has a budget of 450 000 Âeuros. The amount will be divided between the different projects selected by Avere France. The share of financing will not exceed 50% of the total amount and will depend on the recharging power:

  • Private project: from 7.4 to 43 kW AC, up to 960Âeuros per charge point
  • Public project: from 7.4 to 11 kW AC, up to 1,700 euros per charge point
  • Public project: from 12 to 43 kW AC, up to 2,200 euros per charge point

A supplement is possible for the connection to the network.

Applications are due by March 30, 2023 for an award in April 2023.
