Inauguration of the Gourmalon harbour master's office

The Loire Atlantique Ports Authority has inaugurated the new Gourmalon harbour master's office, alongside the Nantes Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for the anchorages located on the Pornic estuary. This new infrastructure is one of the first projects finalized by the loire structure created in 2020 and which includes 9 seaports and 4 river ports in the department.

Vetus obtains NMEA 2000 certification

The marine equipment manufacturer Vetus has announced the NMEA 2000 certification of its CANverter portal designed for the connectivity of its bow thrusters and electric propulsion motors. The Dutch company is pleased to be the first manufacturer of this type of equipment to be approved by the National Marine Electronics Association for the NMEA 2000 standard.

Allen stops his foundry business

The Allen rigger puts an end to its YS range and to its manufacture of castings. Faced with falling demand and the bankruptcy of an anodising subcontractor linked to the Covid-19 crisis, the British equipment manufacturer is concentrating on its machined parts.

Scania changes name

The engine manufacturer Scania is revising its name. Scania Engines becomes Scania Power Solutions to show the variety of solutions offered in marine, industrial and energy applications and to keep pace with developments in electric mobility.

Major funding for electric jetski

Canadian jetski and snowmobile brand Taiga has signed the merger of a specially created company Canaccord Genuity Growth III Corp. The transaction will provide a $100 million injection that will, among other things, enable the development of the electric sea scooter line.
