A week of events to promote maritime employment

The Pogo Structures shipyard will open its doors during Maritime Employment Week 2019

Maritime Employment Week 2019 will be held from March 11 to 16, 2019. Visits to companies, training centres, job dating... Many events are organized on the metropolitan and overseas coasts.

4th edition of the maritime trades meeting

Maritime Employment Week is celebrating its fourth anniversary. The event was created by the Pole Emploi to promote all professions related to the sea. It covers all aspects of the blue economy, from on-board jobs to services and boat building. The public agency works in partnership with training organisations, associations and companies in the sector.

Events all along the coast

The website dedicated to the week-emploi-maritime.fr, lists all the events spread over the metropolitan coastline, but also overseas, in French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin or Reunion Island. The proposals are varied, ranging from open doors of training centres and vocational high schools to job dating, as well as thematic meetings with professionals in employment centre agencies or company visits.

Boating and pleasure boating represented in their variety

Among the company visits, several yacht building yards, such as the Breton sailboats Pogo Structures and JPK or the motorboats of the Guadeloupean shipyard Forbin, are opening their doors. There are also holiday centres and water sports centres.

Candidates for nautical professions will be welcomed to visit the Eric Tabarly vocational school in Les Sables d'Olonne, the INB centre in Villefranche-sur-Mer.
