Two events, two worlds, two venues, two atmospheres?and this year, a choice to make. Both events are taking place on the same dates. BoatIndustry will be in La Rochelle.
It?s not that Monaco lacks industrial and economic appeal. The superyacht sector brings together remarkable expertise in shipbuilding, equipment, naval architecture, refit, and energy management. And many companies, in fact, operate across these various markets.
But BoatIndustry has chosen to stay true to its roots: recreational boating.
This includes shipyards that build in mass or small-scale production, equipment manufacturers, engine manufacturers, distributors, rental companies, dealers, and service providers. It also includes a market directly affected by the choices made by recreational boaters: boat prices, product line updates, engine options, usage patterns, maintenance, and changes in distribution networks.
The Grand Pavois is precisely one of the places where this industry connects with its customers. There, you can discover new products and try out ?small? boats, of course, but above all, you can get a feel for the mood on the docks: Which boats are attracting visitors? What equipment is sparking questions? Which projects are actually making their way to dealers? And what is the mood among industry professionals after a 2026 season that isn?t quite over yet?
So, Grand Pavois or Monaco Yacht Show? For BoatIndustry, it?ll be La Rochelle. Because sometimes you have to choose your port. And ours remains the world of recreational boating.
And, as a bonus, if our schedule allows for a few minutes, we can go and admire the Pen Duick boats once again. There are worse ways to end a day at the boat show.
